Pastor is found as a translation of a Hebrew word in the Old
Testament book of Jeremiah (KJV), but is changed in the NIV
to 'shepherd' which is the more usual translation of this
word in the English Bible. In one place in the New Testament
(Ephesians 4:11), both the KJV and NIV use 'pastor'.
Pastor means one who feeds the flock. Some evangelical Christian
groups give their leaders the title of 'Pastor'.
