Also spelt 'Alleluia'. This is a reverent exclamation of happiness
and joy meaning 'Praise be to God!'
This word is found only in Revelation 19:1,3,4,6; where John
sees a vision of the overthrow of the rulers of this world,
and the establishment of the kingdom of God on earth.
"Then I heard what sounded like a great multitude, like
the roar of rushing waters and like loud peals of thunder,
shouting: 'Hallelujah! For our Lord God Almighty reigns. Let
us rejoice and be glad and give Him glory!'" (Revelation
19:6).
