1. The foundation of the earth.

The prophets frequently speak of the foundation of the earth as evidence of God's greatness in creation and the stability of His work (for example Isaiah 48:13).

"From the foundation of the world" is often given as the starting point of Biblical time

(see Matthew 25:34, KJV).
